Knee Support FAQs

1 Comment12 October 2022

We get that knee supports can get technical at times. To help you out, we've put together a list of some featuring some of the most common questions we get from our customers.

The Most Common Questions We Get

Follow the links below to view the answers to a few of our most common questions.

What Type of Knee Support Do I Need?

This will largely depend on the condition you're in or have been diagnosed with. We recommend taking a look at our "By Condition" categories located at the top of the page.

These categories contain all of the best knee supports for every type of condition, the most common of which include:

Can I Wear a Knee Brace All Day?

You should always follow the recommendation of an orthopaedist or similar healthcare professional when deciding how long to wear your knee brace for during the day. Improper use of a support could potentially cause more harm than good, leading to further damage and injury in the long run.

How Long Should I Wear My Knee Brace For?

You should consult your orthopaedist for their recommendation on how long you should wear the knee brace for. Depending on the severity of your condition, you may need to wear a knee brace for as long as a year, and maybe for longer afterwards if pain still continues. Other cases may only require you to wear a brace for a few weeks.

Can I Wear My Knee Support at Night?

If knee pain is affecting your sleep, it can be helpful to wear a knee brace at night. Just be careful not to wear the brace tighter than is needed, as this could potentially cause circulation problems and potentially worsen your condition.

When Should I Not Wear A Knee Support?

You should not wear a knee support if you are at a high risk of developing deep vein thrombosis, unless you have special direction from a medical professional. Unless waterproof, you should not wear a knee support while swimming or washing without using a Knee Brace Cover

Hi I was wondering if you offer VAT relief at checkout? I have osteoarthritis in both knees and should be exempt from paying VAT on medical appliances due to my disability.
